ØKSENDAL DROPS 'STARSTRUCK' MUSIC VIDEO

ØKSENDAL DROPS 'STARSTRUCK' MUSIC VIDEO

Øksendal is a wide-ranging and prolific songwriter and guitarist who is also a Norwegian Everyman, making art while living a normal life with kids and a day job. This balance allows him to make the music he wants to make. His upcoming debut album, Stay For Dinner, contains nine deeply personal songs that express different parts of Øksendal's soul while also showcasing his abilities as a guitarist and bandleader.
Øksendal's debut album has received overwhelming reviews.
During March both "Starstruck" and "Stay for Dinner" got featured on Reverbnation reaching the global top 10 in rock genre and the whopping 51 position in the entire world all genres!

And now the song has reached to Africa, where people will dance and sing along "Starstruck" by Øksendal. Until this point hopefully you already watch the video above because if not, just stop reading and press play that video. You'll thank me later for that. Pall Simon is the new face of a Paume (Transalpine EP, Melodic Records, 2014). This new project conserves the luxuriousness of of the artist’s previous releases, but the tracks are driven by a more forceful and stripped down style of beats and basslines.

The 8 minute long title track is the first track of the producer’s two track EP, Black Lunch. The track is driven by a shifting yet repetitive bassline, yet conserves a dreamy, organic feeling with the inclusion of melodic keys and vocals, as well as a variety of delicate percussion and sample work.

The B-side is a change of pace, dropping the listener into what feels like a small, dark room full of sweaty dancers, permeated by raw acid basslines, a slowly oscillating sub bass and dry, hard hitting beats.
The Black Lunch marks a change for Hugo Billionnet, the producer behind Pall Simon. A clear shift in composition technique leaves us with more progressive tracks, which represents quite a change from the verse and chorus construction of his previous work.

NEW SONG: HANNAH's YARD - WITH YOU ALL THE WAY

NEW SONG: HANNAH's YARD - WITH YOU ALL THE WAY

At the start of 2018, BBC Introducing-spotted and BBCR2-played musical collectiveHannah’sYard announced ‘all sorts of new music arriving throughout the year!’. Following on from their 2017 debut album of ‘acoustic pop’, aptly entitled ‘Beginnings’, Hannah’s Yard recently released a fourtrack EP of understated covers. ‘Reflections’, showcasing the incredible voice of lead singer Hannah Layton Turner, is already gaining strong traction in the world of streaming, with over 200.000 streams on Spotify and Apple Music in a matter of weeks. Remaining true to their word, the collective, fronted by the 22 year old vocalist, are set to release a brand new song. Co-written by Hannah, along with musical partners Barnaby Pinny and James Reader, ‘With You All The Way’ sees members of the collective reach for their electric instruments for the first time. This up-tempo, feel-good song sees all in the Yard having fun. Supporting Hannah’s lush upfront vocals are notably Guitarist Tim Cansfield’s [Bee Gees] pocketed electric and the bass line ofMichael Curtis Ruiz [Kylie] - one of the funkiest musical journeys in itself. With recent news of social media’s indirect promotion of ‘self-consciousness’ rather than ‘selfconfidence’, the song’s lyrical message shouts that we need to be there for each other. Be it family, friends, teachers, carers, work colleagues…we need to gather around those that need support…nobody should feel alone. Hannah herself comments: “We’ve had so much fun writing & recording ‘With You All The Way’. It’s a little different to what we’ve released in the past but I absolutely love how it’s turned out. Not only is it seriously catchy, it has such a lovely relatable message of ‘togetherness' behind it - a little bit of fun & positivity for you to enjoy... I’m so excited for everyone to hear it!”.… and there’s more new music from Hannah’s Yard on its way towards the end of the year!
