Kirz’s versatility has positioned him to impact Afro-pop and the Reggae/Dancehall music with his dynamic talents, sound, and lyrics. This soulful crooner, blends his unique voice and vocals with the trendy sounds of afro beat highlighted african music salad that we are listening to currently. He projects his aspirations and experiences in his lyrics. Kirz was born Macdonald Chidozie Okeke into a family of eight , and spent his early upbringing in Imo state, Nigeria. To provide him more opportunities, his family relocated to Lagos. This was the place and communities which gave Kirz his early taste of humility and his love for music. This humble beginning of city living brought on the energy and ethics of survival which was turned into the boost for his yearning to reach the top in his musical adventures. Kirz developed himself by listening to various genres and styles of music, movie soundtracks as well as working in various music studios as a Songwriter, Back-up artiste and the arduous task of recording engineer.
In 2017, Kirz won the Docdeff Beat Killer Contest, his career took off exposing him to different platforms and opportunities of performing at many concerts and festivals in Lagos, and never lost his eyes for the prize as he toiled through the daily living of hardships in one of the most competitive cities of the world. The pursuit of his dreams as an Internationally recognized Afro/Dancehall Artist kicked off after his collaborative work with various international artistes, producers and sound engineers from Jamaica, Haiti, Saint Vincent and Grenada ,as well as the United States of America. He released his first major single titled “Bad Condition”, which gave him the wind to continue his trek and this was the single which built the high anticipation for things to come. In 2018, Kirz dropped two songs, “Pray for Me” and ”Far Away” which really thrilled his fans as the rest of the world music community awaited for more to solidify his acceptance globally. In 2019, Kirz released another single “Freedom”, which was produced by Jahboot who is one of producers for world dancehall icon Popcaan.

In 2019, he also released another single titled ”Party Boy” produced by Blacka Kartel (Vybez Kartel’s producer). Kirz’s other songs include the Dancehall version of Beyonce’s “Brown Skin Girl “. His most recent release titled “Gold Digger“ on the Manatee Records Label, is igniting the fire needed by Kirz to lift off to new heights. Manatee Records, established in the early 90’s with distribution offices in Chicago, Kingston, and London , played a major upstart infusion to the main labels during that era. Today the label has a seat in the music communities in Chicago, New York, Jamaica, Belize and as far as London and Paris. With the fast moving dispersal of Afro Beat music, the label is ahead of the pack with teams in Nigeria, Gambia and Ghana to curate the sound of the artists from those particular states. Kirz has more projects on deck and is currently pushing the limits for an upcoming EP dedicated to his fans. His songs have blazed a trail across the globe from the streets of West Africa to the coast of North America. This Artiste is out to set records and make history, so look out for Kirz.

Time Machine by Eduardo was recorded in Nashville, TN and was mixed and mastered by Scott Rollins who is the former sound/drum tech for the band Alabama, and currently working for Reba. The track has melodic driven verses, and a distorted, yet tuneful main riff. 
Though a mellow track by nature, "Time machine" definitely brings you to the turbulent story of a person who is stuck in the past and can't look past it. Though the song travels with them there, it gives a warning that it's ok to look back, but don't get stuck there because you might miss out on what is coming. 
Eduardo have always been fascinated by how music can take you back in time. He wanted to write a song that communicated this, and showed how this happened in people’s mind when they heard a song that reminded them of falling in love, being angry, or just brought someone to mind. The message of Time Machine is that there was nothing wrong with reliving the past through a song, but also that its important to come back, and move forward.

Monsters I can’t control is GATSINGA Julien’s debut EP that he just released on the 26th May 2022 . The vibrant, soulful  EP was recorded in his hometown in Kigali, Rwanda where he was on a long vacation after some long four years in Barcelona where he was currently based. The amazing EP was written , composed and directed by himself.

Gatsinga Julien is a French , Rwandan  artist that discovered music in himself in Barcelona as he was  studying Architecture, he then entered the live music scene where he struggled in the beginning to find his footing as it was very competitive in Barcelona , but he soon managed to turn it into a living through gigging in small venues all around Barcelona. When CoronaVirus hit he went through some tough times in solitude as his grandmother passed away right after the lockdown began, he then went in a phase of self reflection and started composing the tracks that make his EP, titled Monsters I can't control.

The EP in itself is very emotional and is all about owning up to your mistakes before it’s too late and reminding yourself that you are part of the reasons for the situation you are currently in.
After writing the EP he decided he wanted to move up in his career and the first decision he took was to move to Berlin, he then decided to travel through Spain one last time before moving. As he was moving from city to city the emotions he was pushing off caught up with him and he went through some very tough times . He then decided to take a long break near family in his hometown, where he recorded the EP “ Monsters I can’t control” .

The EP in itself is very soulful with some hints of pop, The EP is composed of four tracks

Track 4: The fuck up

Cheri Janae is a singer and songwriter from Chicago. Her first public performance was as a teenager when a school music director asked her to sing in her school graduation. No one else knew Cheri Janae was talented because she was shy until others continued to request her performance in which she collaborated with dance groups at local talent shows and plays.
 
Cheri Janae began to open up her repertoire and earned a music and theater scholarship at a Chicago private University with training in classical music especially her favorite vocal performance of Mozart and Gershwin. However, her heart was in Pop and R&B music. After her first year of college, Cheri Janae began singing at open mic nights, hair and beauty shows, and sporting events, which led to opportunities as a voice-over in a commercial jingle, print advertisements , commercials, as well as a Chicago finalist in the historical NBC show “Fame”.
She also performed in a mini-stage production of Spike Lee’s film “School Daze”, a co-starring role in a TV pilot demo, music festivals, a music at the House of Blues in Chicago, and a Sony BMG music showcase at the now famous Excalibur Nightclub in Chicago. Eventually, Cheri Janae began to write and co-produce her own music. Cheri Janae fuses various styles of R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae, and Dance music with a 4.5-octave vocal range. She received airplay on college radio stations and weekend radio shows for songs “How Wud U Like” and “I Can Love You”. Mariah Carey, Adele, Whitney Houston, Jacksons family, Sade and Missy Elliot are a few of her musical influences. 

Her producer and beat makers collaboration list includes veteran and new producers from Chicago, Philadelphia, and the Caribbean: Get Em Louie, J Blade, B Hadley, Turreekk, and Gee Notez. Lyrically, Cheri Janaepaints pictures of various phases of love, club nights, and inspiration. When asked during an interview at the Sony BMG showcase to describe who she is as an artist, Cheri Janae stated, “I’m an artist that brings fun to music through storytelling, fashion, and rhythmic melodies like a modern-day Diana Ross and Donna Summer." 
 
Cheri Janae past performances include various venues such as House of Blues, Hollywood Aurora Casinos, the International Music Festival, a 107.5 Clear Channel Summer Block Party and ESPN Boxing Match to name a few. She also wrote and recorded vocals on pre-productions with Panther and Individualz of the Swizz Beats production team featuring VH1’s reality star and hip-hop singer Ray J, Will Jordan the writer of Nicki Minaj’s as well as Rihanna’s hit song “Fly”, and UK writer Mick Lee who also wrote commercially for several successful pop artists.

MANATEE RECORDS NEW RELEASE CENTERS ON THE REBIRTH OF THE SATTA MASSAGANA RIDDIM, AS A GLOBAL CALL FOR GIVING BACK TO THE YOUTHS OF TODAY

US-based independent label Manatee Records will be rolling out the reggae-powered 'Satta Massagana' rhythm in April. 
 
The project features a global contribution of various artists from Jamaica, Belize, Trinidad, Argentina, USA, France and Mexico. The artists representing Jamaica are led by veteran and known reggae icon Winston McAnuff who is a global reggae star and who has been the European bridge and reason for most if not all of the reggae iconic placements throughout Europe beginning with the music throughout France, England, Belgium and Germany. 
Artists such as Sly and Robbie and the originators of what is reggae currently as well as many other artists from the days of Ska are those indebted to Winston for the connectivity of Jamaican music in France, England and Germany. Other artists in the Jamaican contingent include 90’s dancehall star Don Yute with his song “No Stopping Me”, TeearDropz who has ben revving up his songs throughout the years with his hit single “Wake Up List” is receiving major attention on the airwaves throughout Jamaica as well as another rising star Ras Ash 1st with his rendition of “Slave Trade”, have contributed to this major project for bringing peace back into our streets and communities. 
The artist YoungWildApache and the youngest artist on the riddim, who is a fast rising dancehall artist in Jamaica currently , relates to his song ft Sasha Musiquee with “Nice Again” which demonstrates that the riddim has brought back musical memories across all ages as he explained that his inspiration or the song came from growing up when all the current superstars were on their trek to greatness who,ke he was a young teenager in Jamaica. Ishmel McAnuff, one of France’s reggae superstars, is the French contingent on the Satta Massagana Riddim Album which celebrates world peace. His input to the reggae community in France has been a historical position and has blessed the album with his song “Who Build These Guns”, referring to youth violence globally. His long history of appreciation of reggae music has positioned him along with his drive of reaching back to the youths and artists who are now producing new angles of such impacting music from his homeland Jamaica. 

The Belizean artists include, Drivah ft Bastic with “Road”, Jah Art “Hail Rastafari”, Mikey Lion “Wroo Oh Oh Oh” and Shawn Adaan “Bawl” make the album a treasure with their input. Fidel Nadal , Argentinian star rastafarian with his song “Mucho Por Hacer”, which translates there is much to do in our communities and what he exemplifies with all his communal love for music throughout South and Latin America as well as throughout Europe. Sgt Remo, who is Mexican-American puts an emphasis on the production with his rendition of what we need in the world today to “Hear The Trumpets Blow” which adds a flair to the album. 
 

Jah Myhrakle’s “Weh Manna Seh'' is again words connected to the rastafraian faith as he represents the United States along with CK Pragmatic formerly known as Cement Kidd from the early 90’s when he was signed to Manatee Records, Jamaica with his song “Alive” adds the Belizean American in Jah Myhrakle as well as the Jamaican-American in Pragmatic who both represent the city of New York, the melting pot for many west indians in the united states. Kmino Contigo with his Belizean-american roots, has given the album a millennial’s view of the struggles in our communities with his song “Always''. 

Finally Mr. Program, one of Belize’s young rising reggae stars, emotionally provided his song on the Satta Massagana Rebirth Riddim, just prior to being killed in the streets of Belize but we are humbled with praises for his song “My Religion”. "I'm getting a lot of positive feedback about this project. With the right promotion, these songs will do well both locally and overseas," Manatee Records President/CEO Calvin 'Doc' Flowers said. "The title of the project translates from the Amharic language as 'He Gave Praise', and with this project, I am honouring the spirit of that argument, by giving praise." He added, "The original Satta Massagana has even been adopted by some Rastafarian groups as a hymn used during services, so this project means a lot to me. The songs are well written and bring positive messages of introspection, peace and love to all." Flowers has been involved in the music community in Chicago since his arrival from his native country of Belize. Satta Massagana is the title track of a roots-reggae album of the same name by The Abyssinians. The rhythm itself has been re-recorded several times over the years. Manatee Records released a rendition of the Satta Massagana in early 90’s and the riddim was blessed by Bernard Collins and Manning from the original Abyssinians and one of the only labels to have received that verification of the riddim.

The standout song which is being played on Irie-FM, Mello, Zip-FM and Sun City stations in Jamaica as well as a host of other stations in the USA, Africa and the Caribbean is “Wake Up List” by TeearDropz. This song is inspired by the knowledge that life is the greatest, whenever you rise, you have it all, you're rich. The song has also received praise from Bobby Konders , top reggae DJ in New York and the Massive B movement. 

Winston McAnuff’s “Armageddon” is another standout track from the veteran and iconic reggae artist who appreciated hearing the new rendition of the Satta as we all know. Another stand out song is Ras Ash's 1st “Slave Trade”, which not only looks at the Trans-Atlantic slave trade and its lingering effects, but also focuses on the need for the loving kindness and mercies of Jah. Flowers has high hopes for the project given the early buzz.

ODC defines himself as a rapper with a global approach,This is seen through his influence in sound which comes from his love for Hip-Hop Music, from the late 90’s all the way to the current soundcape. ODC is a true Hip-Hop purist, he refers to the 90’s and 2000’s wave as the “era that raised him” Rapper ODC has been on the rise since 2016, when he released his debut EP 91 Demo. He has continued to harness his craft and released several singles.

The Seaside Pope releases highly anticipated new single L.L.L which stands for Luni L. Luciano. The artists are The Seaside Pope, Filthtae Powe and Luni Luna Luciano.

The song is about Charles Lucky Luciano and what he did through out his lifetime. His family moved from Sicily to New York in the early 1900's and how he became boss of all bosses. He started to run a prostitution ring, by the time he turned thirty he was the Chief of organized crime. Charles Lucky Luciano was good friends with the jewish Meyer Lansky (Maier Suchowljansky) who was a Polish Jew born in Russia's Pale of Settlement.

Pipi Pango is a singer/songwriter who began streaming his original music in 2018. Although Pipi Pango has made a name for himself in the music industry, he originally attended the National Film School/Sound Training Centre in Dublin. This background in music production provided the perfect foundation for his future creative endeavours. Inspired by artists such as Fela Kuti, Femi Kuti, U2, Coldplay, Kanye West and P. Diddy, Pipi Pango combines a number of compositional elements to create an authentic sound.

To date, Pipi Pango has five singles: ‘Jah Jah’, ‘Totori’, ‘Solomon’, ‘Street Love’, ‘Lagos to London’, and one EP: ‘Love, Money & Power’, in his online discography. Some of his most successful tracks include the likes of ‘Solomon’, amassing seventeen thousand three hundred streams, ‘Totori’, gathering over seventeen thousand three hundred streams, and ‘Street Love’, with thirteen thousand streams.

With more than seventeen thousand regular monthly listeners on Spotify alone, there is no denying the fact that Pipi Pango has developed a dedicated following of loyal fans who will be eager to hear his upcoming EP.

The chosen artwork for the single is a tribute to the DJs out there who are “making people shake their body”.
