Born in Cameroon, Yan Dollar is the frontline artist, producer and show runner of the music label OMG Entertainment based in Washington DC . From a multicultural background emerges his art and love for music. Melodic and rhythmic in his flows, the BigFM newcomer artist of the week winner featured on Shaun Baker’s.

Exploding rhythm which was on the German, Swiss, Austrian etc charts for a couple of weeks in 2013. Yan Dollar released his first EP  ‘SHADOWS’ December 2015. He released his first studio album Mega Dec 2019. After kicking off his career in Germany he moved to Washington DC in 2016. His second album Mega 2.0 is speculated to be released this summer. The album MEGA with hit single Dodo has been making waves.

> Reggae, Afro-HipHop

What's one quality of your music (i.e. dark, romantic, upbeat, acoustic, etc.)?
> Melodic and rhythmic

What's another quality of your music that could also be used to describe you guys as artist?
> Original & dancehall and club banger

How and Why did you first start making music?
> Growing up from a multicultural background emerges my art and love for music, I started listening to different genres of music and growing up trying to write and sing different artist music and that’s how I found my style. I have a very distinct, original and unique styles and very versatile, as I can do afrobeat as my main genre, RnB, Hiphop and Reggae as well.

Where are you from?
> Born and raised in Cameroon Africa, went to Germany at a young age and moved to the USA

Where are you now?
> Washington DC, where I’m based.

What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received about your music?
> Very unique, melodic, versatility and authentic

What’s the coolest, most important show you’ve played to date (the kind of show you’d like to play more of)?
> Opening for Davido, Gims, Burna and many in Washington DC and various cities in the US

Album is an ultimate mixtures of cultures, all hit n smashing song and it was just very important for me, just indicating me upgrading my self as a person and in terms of developing my craft and stepping up to a MEGA level of my music career, as a producer and a singer and entertainer. 
What's the title of your previous releases and year of release?
> Title: Shadow, released in 2014 and I have been dropping hit singles every year and doing campaign until I finally decide to drop my studio debut album called MEGA

Have you guys won any awards?
> Big FM new comer artist of the week winner in Germany in 2016

What are your shows like?
> Energetic, animated and very engaging, and full of live music, dancers

Who do people say yall sound like?
> No one in particular, as I have a unique sound in my genre -Afrobeat.

> Davido, GIMS, Burna Boy, Fally Ipupa, Ryan Leslie, August Alsina and many more

Do you have any associations with charitable causes? if yes, How have you worked with them?
>  Member of a charity movement in Germany to support the homeless and also member of a charity to support orphanage kids in my home country Cameroon Africa

> Taking over the African market and international market by storm in 2020 and they see me as a major push to the afrobeat genre through my endeavors.
